Step 1: Check Your Eligibility
You must be a Registered Nurse in your home country and have completed an accredited nursing program with both theoretical and clinical training. If your education was not in English, you’ll also need to meet language proficiency requirements.
Step 2: Credential Evaluation – We Handle It for You
The credential evaluation verifies that your nursing qualifications meet U.S. standards. At BGI Group4U, we manage this entire process for you through CGFNS (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools). We ensure your documents are correctly prepared, submitted, and tracked—saving you from administrative hurdles and delays.
Step 3: English Language Proficiency – With Our Coaching Support
If you are from a non-English-speaking country, you’ll be required to prove your language skills by taking tests such as:
- IELTS (Academic)
- TOEFL iBT
However, English proficiency scores are only required if you are applying for a nursing license in the state of Minnesota. Most other states do not require English language proficiency scores for licensure.

Your knowledge is tested: “What’s this CBT I need to pass?”
The computer-Based Test (CBT) checks your theoretical nursing knowledge. It’s a requirement before you move forward with job applications.

Step 4: Apply to a U.S. State Board of Nursing
Each U.S. state has its own licensing authority (Board of Nursing), and application requirements can vary. BGI Group4U helps you choose a nurse-friendly state and supports your entire application process—including BON registration, documentation, and background checks.
Step 5: Authorization to Test (ATT) – We’ll Take Care of It
Once your application is approved, the State Board of Nursing will issue your Authorization to Test (ATT). This is your official permission to book the NCLEX-RN exam with Pearson VUE. At BGI Group4U, we handle the coordination and registration process, so you’re set up without confusion or errors.
Step 6: Pass the NCLEX-RN Exam
The NCLEX-RN is the licensing exam you must pass to become a Registered Nurse in the U.S. Our expert-led coaching program provides personalized study plans, practice tests, and guidance—so you’re thoroughly prepared to succeed on your first attempt.
Step 7: Job Offer & Visa Process
Once you pass the NCLEX-RN, you can begin applying for nursing positions. After receiving an offer, your employer will initiate the visa process to help you move to the U.S. legally and begin your nursing career.
